Here are some musical suggestions of popular titles for wedding ceremonies. Please feel free to use these suggestions, or come up with something entirely different.
Prelude- Occurs 30 minutes before wedding begins. Typically music is chosen by the musicians. Includes various standard wedding selections. Please let us know if you have specific requests.
Seating of Parents and Grandparents– Popular selections include Air on the G String by Bach, Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring by Bach or Arioso by Bach.
Bridesmaid Entrace– Many people choose Canon by Pachelbel, Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring by Bach or Flower Duet by Delibes.
Bridal Entrance– Bridal Chorus by Wagner is the most popular, but many brides prefer Trumpet Voluntary by Clarke or Canon by Pachelbel.
Unity Candle or Other Special Music– Ave Maria by Schubert or Air on the G String are two popular choices.
Recessional– Most popular is the Wedding March by Mendelssohn, Hornpipe from ‘Water Music’ by Handel, Ode to Joy by Beethoven, Spring by Vivadi (from the Four Seasons) or All You Need is Love by the Beatles.
Postlude– Music while guests exit. Typically 5-15 minutes of music. Much like the prelude, the postlude music is usually chosen by the musicians.
